The first ever league game for our ‘A’ team resulted in an entertaining 4 – 4 draw.
We quickly found our selves one down after a speculative effort from outside the area flew past our goalkeeper Steven Spence who was making his club debut. We were soon level after Alan Kelly (another debutant) levelled just before the half.
The second half saw us take an early lead after a powerful shot from Craig Johnson could only be turned in to the net by the oppositions defence. We were soon pegged back until yet another debutant, Aaron Blundell scored a fine goal to put us 3 – 2 up.
Some how we managed to find our selves 4 – 3 down before Alan Kelly scored his second goal minutes from time to give us a well deserved 4 – 4 draw.
